An active, untreated wastewater spill is occurring at the Russian River County Sanitation District treatment plant, located at 18400 Neeley Road in Guerneville. The public is advised to avoid the Russian River downstream of the treatment plant to Jenner. Russian River beaches are closed, as are Sonoma Coast beaches from Russian Gulch State Beach south to Doran Beach, due to health hazards. For more information visit sonomawater.org/rrcsd
