SPECIAL PROJECTS

As one of the core purposes of the FoVG are to preserve Villa Grande’s historic and unique character to enhance quality of life for the Villa Grande community.

In addition to supporting individuals who create community events, FoVG has also taken the lead or support other community endeavors:

• Fourth of July celebration, parade and dance, continuing a Villa Grande tradition from the 1950’s (which has been happening since 1905!
• Assisted in the purchasing of trail cameras for the MR Fire District to help solve a series of arson fires
• Support of the annual Talent Show, 2025 being its 6th year
• Spearheading and funding the community response to reopening of Moscow Road after the 2019 road collapse
• Creating a funding campaign for the repair and installation of the “Welcome to Monte Rio” (pending)
