End of Summer:

Clearing the Preserve: Sunday, October 27. 11:00 a.m.

Removing the boat chain, moving the iron bench off the beach, storing the various recreations signs are our traditional end-of-the-recreation-season activities.  We could use some added hands, so come on down at 11 a.m. after the 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. restoration work on Sunday, Oct 27.

Cardboard and Newsprint Needed:

There is an area of the Preserve that needs sheet-mulching, ,which means placing newsprint and cardboard on the ground to suppress the spread of invasive weeds.  We know that printed and delivered newspapers are not common nowadays, but if anyone is still getting newsprint, we really could use it.  We also need brown cardboard without colored plastic coating. Please remove any plastic sealing tape if you can, but we'll accept any standard cardboard either in sheets or boxes.  Drop off any cardboard or newsprint in the Preserve's utility area (by the trash cans) or at Roberto's house on the corner of 3rd & Russian River Ave (21865 Russian River Ave).  Please drop off by October 29.  Thanks.
