Draft agenda here.

Chipping Service:  VGFD Plaza.  End of March

The Monte Rio Fire Department will be coming to the Firehouse Plaza (21950 Willow) sometime in the next two weeks to chip any branches (up to 4" in diameter) that neighbors would like to remove from their property and have chipped. Just place any branches on the pile next to the big redwood tree in the VG Firehouse Plaza.

STRAW and Monte Rio Elementary School Planting:  March 25 & March 26. 10 a.m.

If you’re wondering about the colorful flags covering the second swale, those flags are markers for the Monte Rio Elementary School kids who wlll be planting native plants as indicated by the different colors with STRAW (Students and Teachers Restoring a Watershed)  The colors indicate basket sedge, ginger and sorrel.  If you have any of these native plants in your garden that you’re willing to donate, please send a note to Kaya, our restoration manager at pattersonpointpreserve@gmail.com

If you’d like to see the kids and STRAW planting, stop by around 10 a.m. on Tuesday or Wednesday, March 25 or March 26.

Earth Day:  Community Clean Up:  Saturday, April 26.  10 a.m. - Noon.

We will celebrate Earth Day by cleaning  Villa Grande's open spaces: the Town Square Park, the 4th Street parking area, and the Firehouse Plaza. We'll also get ready for summer in the Preserve by spreading chips on the Patterson Point Preserve trails.
